Completed bentwood chair
Judy Zugish and Bill Roeder have taught this project many times over the years. Each class is unique, producing a great variety of designs while using time-tested building and bending techniques to make a classic piece of furniture for outdoor or indoor use.

Starting in the studio with brownies and coffee, we discuss and load the tools needed, all the while recounting many of the often humorous experiences of previous classes.

Then it’s off to the woods to learn which materials to gather. We load up your materials and return to the studio for the building of the basic frame of the chair.

The second day is devoted to the bending techniques used in the final construction of the piece.

Lastly, we take your picture and send you on your way with chair tied on, underneath or in the back - depends on your vehicle - we’ve tied them every way imaginable! This is a great project to use a helper, so enlist a friend and come on down.

This is a great two-day class for $250/chair. Don't forget to bring a lunch as this is hard work!
